Mia Melvær (1988) is a Norwegian visual artist. She studied conceptual design at Design Academy Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and worked a while as a conceptual developer and sculptor for the artist Michaël Borremans. Her latest work revolves around repetition of dysfunctional habits and experimental bias.

Mia Melvær’s projects entitled 'A box for slowly rubbing your hands together whilst thinking of recent success' and 'Petty stick. Celebratory object to wave in the air when it turns out that one was right after a long argument, or life', looks into the function of an object that reflects flaws in the character of the person who owns it, and the narrative value of objects.
